Dennis, Wow I find your web site fascinating. The array of photos is astounding. I find myself on there again and again. Your models are excellent and I want to share one of my models with you. I collect G.I. Joes and enjoy customizing cars for them. I also love Monster trucks so I thought I would combine the two. Joe's vehicle selection is limited so I had to use what I had lying around. I started with a Barbie 57 Chevy and some PVC pipe I set about creating something. I built the chassis from PVC added Lil Tykes dump truck diffs and tires. I then ran across an Avenger Hot wheel and the mold was cast! I patterned my Truck after Avenger. I had only been to local Monster truck shows but when I found out Avenger as going to be at Indy, my kids and I had to make the trip. I was able to meet Jim Kohler and get him to sign my truck. We had a GREAT time, the show was excellent and the people were great too. I even customized a Driver for the truck. I have attached some Pictures so let me know what you think. Again I really enjoy you site, please keep up the great work!!! Thanks, Timothy T. Hare I think the Barbie car never looked better. |
