As expected Dennis Anderson is a wild and crazy guy. He did some really impressive freestyles. Saturday the truck laid over on it's side, Dennis hammered it and brought it back up only to go over on the other side. Again Dennis brought it back up with a flat tire and I think some rear steering problems. Then he turned the truck around and came barreling beck in front of the screaming fans. I was standing in front of him as he came charging down the track. I didn't know which way to go to get out of the way so I threw my hands in the air and Dennis locked up the brakes and slid sideways to a stop right in front of me. Needless to say my heart rate was a little high. Then Dennis came climbing out of the truck laughing. Well my sources tell me that Dennis was so sore from that ride, that he rode back to NC. laying on the hard wood floor of the hauling rig. When he got home he went to his doctor and had pulled some muscles from his spine. The doctor has requested that he take at least a month off and think seriously about retiring. I, like all of you would not like to see that, but how long can he continue to beat himself up like this. The show was a nice reunion for Dennis and I. My mom got to meet him and he gave her a big hug, that really made her day. We sat in the lawn talking about the old days and I really enjoyed the time with Dennis. So thanks Dennis for making it special for us all. |
